Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic/Foreman to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the installation and repair of various sheet metal roofing systems on commercial buildings. This physically demanding role requires a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of Sheet Metal Mechanics in the installation and repair of commercial roofing systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately layout and fabricate sheet metal components.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including shears, brakes, drills, rivet guns, and welding equipment (welding certification a plus).
• Install various sheet metal roofing components, including flashing, coping, drip edges, gutters, downspouts, and roof panels.
• Ensure all work meets code requirements and adheres to company safety standards.
• Conduct quality inspections and identify any potential issues.
• Train and mentor less experienced crew members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with material loading and unloading.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic or a minimum of 5 years to be considered for the Foreman position.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 75 lbs.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required.
• A Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
