Working Heavy Equipment Operator in Harrisburg

Salary: Prevailing Wage (Starting at $68 per hour for operators)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Working Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Working Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators ranging from a 304 to a 470, Dozers, Skid Steers, Rollers, and haul trucks, operating on various job sites. If you have experience as a paver operator, that's a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Operate all equipment efficiently and safely
• Dig around live utility lines while adhering to strict safety protocols
• Laying sewer and water lines
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a collaborative and safety-oriented environment
• Perform manual labor such as digging with a shovel when necessary
• Maintain equipment by cleaning tracks and ensuring proper lubrication at all times

Requirements:

• Experience operating all heavy equipment listed above and be proficient with a variety of makes and models
• Commitment to safety at all times, especially when working near live utility lines
• Ability to work full-time year-round, including overtime and Saturdays as required
• Willingness to occasionally work "Shop Rate" or "Base Rate" jobs as needed
• OSHA 10 certification and confined space training preferred
• Clean background with the ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Important Details:

• Full-time position with 40+ hours per week
• Work schedule may include 5x8's or 4x10's with overtime
• Mandatory Saturday work (When Asked) with the potential for full-day shifts
